By now, you know about the healing powers of essential oils—they work their antibacterial magic in DIY cleaning supplies and hand sanitizers, they help soothe skin and provide other topical perks, and (of course) they smell absolutely amazing.

And it’s these aromatic perks that are the most well studied, with scents like peppermint being proven to help alleviate headaches (even migraines in some cases), orange to elevate mood, and lavender to promote a sense of relaxation and help lull you to sleep.

Maybe you’re already the proud owner of an essential oil diffuser, or maybe you concoct your own toxin-free air fresheners with alcohol, water, and essential oils—which are both great ways to enjoy these potent botanical extracts—but how do you get your aromatherapy boost when you’re on the go?

Enter: Aromatherapy roll-ons.

In the video above and instructions below, we show you how to make a roll-on blend of essential oils and a carrier oil that you can toss in your bag and use (by rolling on the pulse points) whenever you need a dose of motivation or relaxation.
