Stomach Soothing Tummy Tonic

Makes ½ cup (8 1-Tbsp servings)

1/3 cup honey 
2 sprigs fresh mint, leaves bruised
1 lemongrass stalk, white part crushed 
1 tsp fennel seeds
Pinch of cayenne
1 bottle ginger kombucha 

 

1. In a small saucepan combine the honey with 1/3 cup water and bring to a simmer. Add the mint, lemongrass, fennel seeds, and cayenne. Remove from heat and set aside until cooled to room temperature. Strain into a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Keeps for 1 week in the refrigerator. 

2. To feel the relief, add 1 Tbsp syrup and ½ cup kombucha to a glass with ice. Stir to combine and sip!
