Awesome Almond Smoothie
The secret ingredient in this deliciously nutty drink? Kale.
You may only need four smoothies in your recipe box, but if minimalism isn't your thing and have space for one more, give this tasty mix a whirl when you're looking for a protein fix.
1 small frozen banana, sliced
¾ cup kale, lightly packed, stems removed
¾ cup almond milk
¾ tablespoon almond butter
⅛ teaspoon cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
1. Blend ingredients together until desired consistency is reached.
2. For an extra dose of antioxidants, add ½ cup iced coffee.
